Oklahoma State’s Simmons Feeling Heat
Times Wire Services
The pressure on Oklahoma State Coach Bob Simmons to resign is increasing.
Simmons, who is 29-36 in six seasons as the Cowboy coach, was the subject of a column in Sunday’s Daily Oklahoman saying that he should resign because his removal is inevitable.
Athletic Director Terry Don Phillips is also pushing an $80-million renovation of the football stadium.
Then there is the success of instate rival Oklahoma, 9-0 and ranked No. 1 in the nation. The Cowboys are 2-6 overall and 0-5 in the Big 12 Conference.
