Absentee Ballots Still Available
The registrar-recorder/county clerk’s office in Norwalk will be open today to give absentee ballots to voters who will be unable to get to a polling place Tuesday. The office, at 12400 Imperial Highway, third floor, Room 3002, will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
A voter who cannot pick up a ballot can designate someone else to do so. In that case, the voter must provide a handwritten, signed state-ment requesting that a ballot be given to the representative, who must be named in the request.
The marked ballot must be returned by the voter or the representative to the Norwalk office or any polling place in Los Angeles County by 8 p.m. on election day.
