Feiereisen’s Punts Leave Foes Pinned

Good thing Todd Feiereisen didn’t sprain his foot.
The Westlake High junior has missed two games at quarterback because of a slightly separated shoulder, but he has continued to punt with deadly accuracy.
Feiereisen pinned Royal inside its 10-yard line three times Friday with perfectly placed punts. Feiereisen, averaging almost 38 yards per punt, also thwarted Thousand Oaks with a similar coffin-corner performance in a Marmonte League opener.
“It’s tough when you’re always starting drives in the shadow of your goal post,” Royal Coach Gene Uebelhardt said.
