The Fire Department and the Orange County Chapter of the American Red Cross are teaming up Saturday to remind residents of the Standard Mobile Home Park about the importance of smoke-detector maintenance.
Fifty Red Cross volunteers will be handing out free smoke detectors, batteries and information packets to park residents from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. A Santa Ana firetruck and a Red Cross emergency response vehicle will be on display. Fire officials recommend that smoke detector batteries be replaced when daylight savings begins and ends. Information: (714) 481-5375.
