Kilpatrick defeated Flintridge Prep . . . maybe.
The Mustangs led Flintridge Prep, 14-10, in a lengthy game that was halted because a men’s softball league was scheduled to use the field at the Glendale Sports Complex.
Kilpatrick (4-2-1) had runners at first and second with one out in the top of the seventh inning when umpires stopped the March 14 game.
For now, it is ruled a tie.
“Those softball guys were waiting and they pay money to play, so I guess we had to end it,” said Kilpatrick assistant Adam White. “We want to finish the game at some time. We’d like to. We were winning.”

Valencia can beat just about anyone, except teams in its own league.
The Vikings are 7-0 outside of the Foothill League, but are 1-2 in league play.
Last week, Valencia lost to Hart, 4-3, and Burroughs, 11-10.
In nonleague play, Valencia defeated El Camino Real and Mission League teams Chaminade, Alemany and St. Francis.
“It looks great that you beat all these top teams, but if you can’t hold your own in league, it’ll be tough to get a playoff spot,” Valencia Coach Jared Snyder said. “We’ve got to step up and be able to beat the teams in our league.”
