Red Hat Loss Widens

Red Hat Inc., a developer of the free Linux computer operating system that competes with Microsoft’s Windows, said its fiscal fourth-quarter loss widened as expenses doubled. The loss was $24.6 million, or 17 cents a share, compared with a loss of $1.2 million, or 3 cents, in the year-ago quarter.
