The City Council has ordered staff to schedule a workshop to examine possible amendments to the City Charter, including pay raises and an end to term limits. Proposed changes include raising the salaries of the mayor and each City Council member from $1,000 to $2,500 a month and eliminating their term limits as mandated by voters in 1992. Another change proposed is to limit the Anaheim Firefighters Assn.’s ability to use binding interest arbitration for contract negotiations.
