WellPoint Pharmacy Unit Wins Wisconsin Contract

WellPoint Pharmacy Management in Thousand Oaks has been awarded a contract to provide claims-processing services to United Wisconsin Services, an affiliate of Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin, and the company’s subsidiary, CompcareBlue Health Services Insurance Corp.
The agreement, which covers 550,000 people, is effective June 1. It expands on an existing clinical-services contract that provides formulary management, therapy management and clinical intervention programs.
“The expansion of our partnership with United Wisconsin Services is exciting and exemplifies the excellence in our pharmacy benefit management services and our continued growth,” said Michael A. Nameth, general manager of WellPoint Pharmacy Management.
WellPoint Pharmacy Management serves 22 million people. It is the trade name of Professional Claim Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of WellPoint Health Networks Inc.
