Phone System Tells Voters Location of Polling Place
LOS ANGELES COUNTY — Voters can use an automated phone system, county officials said Thursday.
With the Interactive Voice Response system, voters calling the county registrar-recorder’s office can use a phone keypad to enter their ZIP Code, street number and birth date and find out their polling location within two minutes.
The information is also available on the Internet at https://regrec.co.la.ca.us.
The automated phone system has 96 available lines, and an additional 91 live operators will be ready on election day to answer polling location questions, said Registrar-Recorder Conny McCormack.
Voters can call (800) 815-2666 to use the system.
For assistance in Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, Tagalog, Korean or Vietnamese, voters can call (800) 481-8683.
