Oxnard Art Assn. Names Exhibit Winners

* The Oxnard Art Assn. announced the winners of its juried art exhibit, “Vacation Views,” which is on display through Sept. 8 at American Commercial Bank in Oxnard. The winners and painting titles:
Best of Show--Margy Gates, “Pelican Canyon.”
First--Mel Rhoads, “The Cabin.”
Second--Chris Weber, “Ventura Vacation.”
Third--David Richardson, “Ever Increasing Glory.”
Camarillo Optimist Club Awards Scholarships
* The Noontime Optimists Club of Camarillo announced the winners of its scholarships program honoring recent high school graduates. The $1,000 award winners: Kristen Lee of Cornerstone Christian School; Erin Enriquez of Rio Mesa High School. The $500 award winners: Laura McAvoy Chooljian, Megan Kline and Lorna Leopold, all of Rio Mesa High School; Albert Chen, Melissa Schau and Heather Stangeby, all of Adolfo Camarillo High School.
