Flashcom Buys Irvine’s Worldwide Axcelerant

Flashcom Inc., a Huntington Beach provider of high-speed Internet access, said Monday it acquired Worldwide Axcelerant Group Inc., an Irvine provider of secure networks. Terms of the stock transaction were not disclosed.

Axcelerant will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Flashcom. Robert Heintz, president of Axcelerant, will continue to head that unit.
