Latin Site

SuCalle.com, a start-up that planned to launch a Latino-themed Los Angeles city guide on the Web, instead has struck a deal to join the El Puente Latino network of sites. When it launches this month, the site will focus on art, music, community service and special events for L.A.’s Latino community, said Ken Alston, who founded SuCalle.com and sold it to El Puente Latino for an undisclosed sum last week. Antonio Meijas-Rentas, former entertainment editor of La Opinion, will become West Coast editor in chief of El Puente Latino, which operates a site in New York and is developing one for Miami. The New York-based company also has plans for sites in San Diego and Chicago.
