LAUSD’s Budget
With 712,000 students in the Los Angeles Unified School District, if my calculator is working correctly, its $8.4 billion divided by 712,000 students equals $11,798 per student! Are LAUSD and UTLA using the new math when proclaiming that spending only $5,985 per student places Los Angeles 47th in per-student spending?
