North American Imaging to Buy Aspect Electronics
North American Imaging in Camarillo plans to acquire Aspect Electronics, an engineering and manufacturing company based in Auburn.
Aspect Electronics specializes in connectivity devices, medical imaging displays and medical image-processing hardware. Its annual revenues are more than $2.5 million, according to North American Imaging officials.
Under the terms of the transaction, North American Imaging will acquire all outstanding shares of Aspect Electronics for an undisclosed sum. The sale is expected to be completed this quarter.
North American Imaging is a subsidiary of DC DiagnosticCare of Edmonton, Canada. It focuses on the medical imaging market.
“With Y2K-compliant issues behind us, we believe hospitals will turn their sights on how to better manage their operation,” said Paul Dempster, general manager of North American Imaging. “NAI is in a unique position to offer programs on a fee-per-study basis and allow image-management capabilities to grow as the needs of the medical facility grows.”
