Freshman Girls Have Some Class

There is a bumper crop of quality freshman girls in the region this season.
Shaina Zaidi of Burroughs, Amanda Patton of Hart, Christina Zdenek of Chaminade, Cherhara Shields of El Camino Real and Julia Bradley of Saugus have established themselves as impact players.
Add Lyndsey Medders of Harvard-Westlake to the list.
Last week at the Ayala tournament, Medders did her impression of Tyus Edney, going the length of the court and hitting a shot at the buzzer to defeat A.B. Miller.
“It was very exciting,” Coach Brian Taylor said.
