Grant High girls’ basketball Coach Steve Brumwell figures his Lancers always have a shot to win as long as they keep shooting.
Grant has made 76 of 189 three-point shots (40.2%). The long-range accuracy has helped cover up some of the team’s deficiencies.
“We don’t have a big team. And especially with the girls we have, our three-point shooting helps us,” Brumwell said.
“We definitely practice it and we’ve always encouraged the girls to shoot.”
Kathleen Mallon has made 25 of 55 shots (45.5%) from three-point range.
Leslie Mui has made 34 of 83 three-point shots (41.0%), and Deja Cruz has hit 16 of 44 three-pointers (36.4%).
