A 7-year-old Compton girl, shot along with three family members during a New Year’s Eve attack, was on life support Sunday.
The girl, who was shot in the head, was in critical condition at Martin Luther King Jr.-Drew Medical Center, a nursing supervisor said.
Two boys, ages 2 and 12, and a 23-year-old man also were shot, but were in good condition, Compton police said. Investigators declined to identify the victims, but said they were all related.
The shooting took place about 9 p.m. Friday night. Police said someone knocked on the door of the home on West Arbutus Street and then fired several shots into the house before anyone could open the door. Police said a handgun was used in the attack.
Police did not have a suspect or a motive for the shooting.
