Mission Teams a Win From State Playoffs

Notre Dame and Harvard-Westlake highs will earn automatic berths into the boys’ basketball state playoffs if each wins tonight in Southern Section Division III-AA quarterfinal games.

Notre Dame will play Corona del Mar at Estancia High. Harvard-Westlake will face Morningside at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame (22-6) finished 2-10 in the Mission League a year ago. The Knights are having their best season since they won a section title in 1993.

Harvard-Westlake (22-5) will be looking to avenge a 76-73 defeat to Morningside in the Best in the West tournament in December.
