VENTURA — Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows will star in the play “Love Letters,” at 2 p.m. at the Laurel Theater in Ventura on Sunday.
The play, put on by the Rubicon Theatre Company, chronicles a 50-year friendship from the 1920s through the 1970s.
“One of the interesting things about this is we rotate different pairs of actors each night,” said Karyl Lynn Burns, the executive director of the Rubicon Theatre.
Steve Allen created and hosted the “Tonight Show,” starred in the movie “The Benny Goodman Story” and wrote the Irish drama “The Wake.”
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for students and seniors and $15 for groups.
Jack Lemmon and his wife Felicia Farr will be playing the characters on March 1 at 7 p.m. Tickets for that show will cost $135.
The play will be showing through March 5. For tickets call the box office at 667-2900.
