The City Council is expected to vote today on whether to join the League of California Cities and its Orange County Division as well as the Orange County Fire Authority.
The city staff has recommended that the council agree to join all three organizations.
If the council agrees to join, the city will have to pay dues of $8,131 this year and $8,375 in 2001 for its membership in the Orange County Division and $13,943 for its membership in the statewide league through 2001. There is no cost to join the Fire Authority.
