Crenshaw, Narbonne Are Top-Seeded Teams
The Crenshaw High boys’ team and Harbor City Narbonne girls’ team were selected Saturday as the top-seeded teams for the City Section basketball playoffs.
Sixteen teams, including all eight league champions, were selected for the Championship division. Teams ranked 17-32 are in the Invitational division.
First-round games are Friday.
Crenshaw, which has won 16 boys’ titles, will play host to Eagle Rock. Second-seeded Westchester plays Jordan, third-seeded Fairfax plays South Gate and fourth-seeded Woodland Hills Taft plays Sylmar.
Narbonne’s girls, ranked No. 1 in the nation, play Wilson. Second-seeded Palisades plays Hamilton, third-seeded Crenshaw plays Taft and fourth-seeded South Gate plays Granada Hills Kennedy.
