City Manager Frank Benest was approached last month by recruiters from Palo Alto who are looking for a new city manager.
Although Benest and other city officials said it was premature to say he was leaving Brea, he has honored Palo Alto’s request for a resume.
Benest said he doesn’t know the status of his application.
