Amy Sanders
Huntington Beach, Basketball
Sanders averaged 29 points and 11 rebounds and shot better than 50% from the field last week in three victories. She had 24 points,
seven rebounds,
five assists and four steals in a 50-49 victory over then sixth-ranked Esperanza. After a 26-point, 13-rebound performance in a 51-43 overtime victory against Marina, she finished the week with 38 points and 14 rebounds in a 57-43 victory over El Monte Arroyo.

Santa Margarita, Water Polo
Figge, a freshman, earned all-tournament honors and helped the Eagles finish second at the Southern California Championships.

Edison, Soccer
Scored the game-winning goal in 1-0 victory over then fifth-ranked Esperanza.
Evan Bull
El Dorado, Basketball
The 6-foot-6 junior finished a solid week, tallying 20 points and 18 rebounds in a 74-59 victory over Loara. The victory was a big one for the ninth-ranked Golden Hawks, who lost their first meeting with the Saxons by 14 points. Bull also played solid defense in the victory, helping limit Loara’s Dan Melton to 15 points. Bull and teammate Quinn Hawking each scored 15 points in a 50-42 victory over Kennedy.

Santa Margarita, Soccer
Scored two goals to help top-ranked Santa Margarita defeat then third-ranked Mater Dei, 3-1, in a Serra League game.
* Frank Gamboa
University, Wrestling
Won with a pin at 189 pounds to earn MVP honors and help University win the Pacific Coast League finals.
