Chaminade High has forfeited its Mission League boys’ basketball victory over St. Francis on Friday after violating Southern Section rules when sophomore Jon Todd played in both the junior varsity and varsity games.
“It was an unfortunate mistake and we’re self-reporting,” Athletic Director Rob Webb said.
The forfeit moves St. Francis (14-11, 6-5 in league play) into a tie for third place with Chaminade (15-8, 6-5), which was 0-3 in Mission games last week. The Eagles lost in overtime to Harvard-Westlake and Notre Dame.
