The Planning Commission today will consider the city’s seven-year capital improvement budget for recommendation to the City Council.
The capital improvement budget includes road projects, landscape median work, improvements of parks, water and sewer line replacement, street widening and traffic signal installation. City Planning Director Tom Tomlinson said some of the larger, ongoing projects include widening Camino Capistrano and building pump lift stations to better circulate sewer flow. The City Council will vote on the recommendations in June.
In other business, the commission will vote on changes to the Capistrano Freeway Center, which include raising a portion of the wall around the property, installing towers on the property and adding new signs to distinguish between small and large stores. The center is near Interstate 5 between Ortega Highway and Camino Capistrano.
The commission meets at 7 p.m. in the City Council chambers at 32400 Paseo Adelanto.
