Thrill-Riders Get Special Day at Knott’s
Seeking to attract snowed-in East Coast and Midwestern roller-coaster fanciers, Knott’s Berry Farm will host a coaster-enthusiast day March 4 at the Buena Park attraction.
Marketed as Knott’s Winter Coaster Solace, the event will be open only to current, card-carrying members of established roller coaster or amusement park clubs.
Many members of such groups as the American Coaster Enthusiasts travel frequently to experience top thrill rides.
The $38 ticket includes admission, parking, dinner, preferred entry to rides at designated times and a souvenir patch.
Attendees also will have a chance to chat with Knott’s officials, especially general manager--and roller-coaster connoisseur--Jack Falfas, during a private lunch at Mrs. Knott’s Chicken Dinner Restaurant.
For most participants, the main attraction will be GhostRider, a 4,533-foot wooden roller coaster that has proved popular with amusement park fans.
Details and tickets are available at (714) 220-5218.
