Another Look-Alike
President Clinton’s Oscar is a fake. The statuette presented to him at a convention party for his role as “best president” was an “awfully accurate counterfeit,” a prop obtained from Paramount, according to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The academy was a tad miffed about the whole affair, pointing out that Oscar is trademarked and awarded “only for accomplishments relating to motion pictures.”
