An association that helps the disabled celebrated the arrival of three new vans Wednesday at a ceremony in Ventura.
ARC-Ventura County already has 35 vans to transport more than 850 developmentally disabled people in the county. Thanks to a $100,000 federal grant, it now has three more.
“This will help people who need assistance get to work,” said Jim White, director of transportation and development for ARC.
The new vans are capable of transporting people in wheelchairs. For more information, call ARC at 650-8611, Ext. 216.
