Comedy
As a member of the Drew Carey-hosted “Whose Line Is It, Anyway?” improvisational sketch show on ABC-TV, Wayne Brady has amply demonstrated his flair for improvising wacky bits and funny songs--often featuring impersonations of James Brown, Sammy Davis Jr., Tina Turner and Michael Jackson. Now Brady--he’s no comedian, he maintains, but “an actor that does improv”--is taking his act on the road. And any improv suggestions comedy club audiences are willing to make, he says, “I’m willing to do.”
* Wayne Brady, Brea Improv, 945 E. Birch St., 8:30 p.m. Also Friday, 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, 8 and 10:30 p.m.; Sunday, 8 p.m. $15 to $17. (714) 529-7878.
