Authorities are looking for a man who held up a video store on the city’s east side over the weekend.
Police said shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday, a man with a ponytail handed a note to a clerk at Video Super Shop in the 9300 block of Telephone Road. The note demanded money and indicated that the robber had a gun.
The clerk gave the man cash from a register, and the man fled. The employee did not see a gun.
A witness reported seeing someone leave the parking lot outside the store in a blue or silver ‘70s sedan and head south on Petit Avenue. Police searched the area without success.
The robber is described as a white man in his 40s, about 5 feet 6 and 150 pounds. He was wearing a black leather jacket and light gray pants.
