The ‘Net’ Connection
Regarding the article on telephone rates when calling from overseas (“Phone Home, but Without Emptying Your Pockets,” On a Budget, July 2): A very inexpensive option for anyone staying in one place for more than a few days or simply wanting to talk for more than a few minutes is to call using the Internet. One of my 19-year-old twin sons is studying in Italy this summer and has found this to be the easiest and cheapest option. He paid approximately $70 for 35 hours of Internet time.
