Task Force Possible on Adult Businesses
The City Council may form a task force in response to concerns among residents about adult businesses in their neighborhoods.
Several residents urged the council this week to take a tougher stance against adult businesses, prompting Councilman Bob Zemel to place a proposal for a task force on the council’s Nov. 18 agenda.
Zemel said he also would like to work with legislators to create a new law that would give cities more power to govern sexually oriented businesses.
Anaheim has five nude or topless adult entertainment businesses as well as several adult video and bookstores.
