Franco Sparks St. Genevieve to Its First Victory

Daniel Franco’s two-yard touchdown run with 1:30 remaining in the first half gave St. Genevieve a 14-7 victory over Bosco Tech in a Santa Fe League game Saturday night at Birmingham High, ending the Valiants’ six-game losing streak dating to last season.
Franco rushed 30 times for 103 yards and was outstanding at middle linebacker.
Shawn Garhan rushed for 66 yards in 14 carries for St. Genevieve (1-5, 1-1 in league play).
Bosco Tech (2-4, 0-2) took a 7-0 lead on an 11-yard run by Eric Agajanian. St. Genevieve answered with a one-yard touchdown run by Eliel Garcia two minutes into the second quarter.
