Southwest 20, Pierce 7--The Brahmas committed six turnovers and lost their 22nd consecutive game in a WSC game at Pierce.
Pierce (0-4, 0-3) took a 7-6 halftime lead on to a four-yard touchdown run by Rob Cavil in the first quarter.
The Brahmas then proceeded to disintegrate in a series of turnovers, two of which led to Cougar touchdowns.
Pierce lost four fumbles and Dan McMullen, who completed 24 of 39 passes for 239 yards, had two passes intercepted.
Twice the Brahmas failed to score when faced with first-and-goal inside the Cougar five-yard line.
Southwest (3-2, 2-1) took the lead for good on Marques Hannie’s two-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
