5K Run/Walk to Benefit Schools

Costa Mesa High School boosters will host a 5K run/walk Oct. 19 at the Harbor Gateway Business Complex.
The Mesa 5000, now in its fifth year, is the high school’s biggest annual fund-raiser. Part of the proceeds will benefit the elementary schools that send students to the campus, said Mike Lawrence, an English teacher at the high school.
Race fees are $10 for students who attend Costa Mesa High and its elementary schools, $20 for others.
Registration begins Oct. 19 at 6:30 a.m. The race is at 8 a.m. Harbor Gateway Business Complex is at 3333 Hyland Ave.
Applications are available in the Costa Mesa High School administration office, 2650 Fairview Road.
