Cherokee Clothing Firm Sees Net Income Triple
Cherokee Inc. saw its net income more than triple in its first quarter while revenues jumped by 90%.
For the quarter that ended Aug. 30, the Van Nuys-based clothing concern posted net income of $1.73 million, compared with a profit of $538,000 in the same period a year earlier.
Revenues in the latest quarter rose to $2.19 million, up from $1.15 million.
Cherokee now generates all its revenues through the licensing of the Cherokee brand name which is used on various clothing products internationally.
