Opponent--Sacramento Knights
Site--Arco Arena
Time--7:30 p.m.
Records--First game of three-game series
Splash update--The Splash (16-12) won’t play a home game in the first round because of scheduling conflicts with the Pond and the team’s financial turmoil. Goalkeeper Ruben Fernandez’s 4.63 goals-against average is second-best this season. The Splash lead the all-time series, 9-8, but the teams split four games this season. Bernie Lilavois’ 44 goals were third-best in the league; his 18 assists gave him 62 points, tying him for third in the CISL. Danny Barber (22 goals, 20 assists) missed Friday’s practice because of a groin injury.
Knights update--Sacramento (14-14) lost 11 of its final 13 games and finished two games behind the Splash in the Western Division. The Knights’ most formidable scorer, forward Jon Parry, is out for the series because of a groin injury, and defender Rudy Doliscat is out (knee).
