Sylmar 41, Van Nuys 0--The Spartans rolled up 437 yards, including 321 on the ground, and held Van Nuys to 164 yards at Sylmar.

Errol Bowen rushed for 87 yards and a touchdown in nine carries for the Spartans (3-1, 1-0). Bowen’s 17-yard touchdown run capped the scoring late in the third quarter. Bowen also caught a 70-yard scoring pass from quarterback Joey LaPorte on Sylmar’s first play of the second half.
