Schizophrenic Woman Last Seen 5 Weeks Ago
Huntington Beach police are asking for the public’s help in finding a schizophrenic woman who was last seen five weeks ago.
Gail Marie Castro, who turns 46 today, has been missing from her family home since May 11. Relatives are concerned she’s been without medication to keep her condition under control.
Police said she hasn’t used any of her credit cards, nor withdrawn money from her bank account.
“She’s still got to be around here someplace,” Huntington Beach Senior Officer Mike Kelly said. “Hopefully, we’ll be able to locate her pretty soon.”
Detectives have received tips that a woman who looks like Castro was seen in Garden Grove, La Habra and Fullerton recently.
Castro is described as 5 feet 4 inches tall, about 110 pounds, with brown hair and frosted highlights. She often wears round sunglasses and a baseball cap, Kelly added.
Anyone with information about Castro is asked to call Huntington Beach police at (714) 375-5066.
