O’Connell to Hold Briefing on Budget

A state budget briefing hosted by Sen. Jack O’Connell (D-San Luis Obispo) will be held this afternoon at Ventura City Hall.
April Manatt, chief consultant to the Senate Local Government Committee, will brief attendees on how the spending plan now being deliberated could affect the region.
O’Connell holds briefings each year.
“My goal is to take the mystery out of the process, so that there are no surprises for local governments when the budget is completed and to give them a chance to give input into the process,” he said.
The hourlong briefing will begin at 4 p.m. in Community Meeting Room 202 at City Hall, 501 Poli St.
