Summer Reading for Elementary Pupils
The Los Alamitos-Rossmoor Library will begin its free summer reading program June 23.
Children who sign up for the program, “Library Detectives Inc.--A Case for Reading,” will receive a “case log” to record the names of the books they read. The library will give each participant a mysterious reward for 10 books read.
Kindergartners through sixth-graders may participate.
The library is open from noon to 9 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays; 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesdays; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The library is at 12700 Montecito Road in Seal Beach.
Information: (562) 430-1048.
