House Fire Causes $30,000 in Damage; No Injuries Reported

Fire officials are investigating a blaze Saturday afternoon that caused $30,000 in damage to a house in an unincorporated portion of Ventura County near the Los Angeles County line, authorities said.
The cause of the 4:46 p.m. blaze in the 42000 block of Pacific Coast Highway is not known, but Ventura County Fire Department investigators said it may have started in a sauna heater.
Engine companies from Ventura and Los Angeles counties as well as the Point Mugu Fire Department knocked the blaze down at 5:02 p.m.
Crews stayed into the evening mopping up and conducting their investigation.
The fire caused $15,000 in structural damage, and $15,000 in damage to contents, officials said.
No one was injured.
