Heritage Center to Open Saturday

The first visitors to the Heritage of San Clemente on Saturday will be treated to the opening of a Richard M. Nixon exhibit, plus a collection of surfing memorabilia and a 1791 copy of the U.S. Constitution.
Big band music, print signings by local artists, refreshments and a ribbon-cutting at 6 p.m. by Mayor Patrick M. Ahle will launch the museum and visitors center at 415 N. El Camino Real.
A bound volume of the Constitution published in 1791 will be on display Saturday only.
Festivities will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
Regular daily hours for the Heritage of San Clemente, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., will start Sunday.
