El Dorado, Senior; Swimming
Malich set Division II records in the 50 (20.52 seconds) and 100 freestyles (45.00) at the Southern Section finals last week, but Golden Hawk Coach Michael Ashe said, “he hasn’t even come close to his potential.” Malich, who helped El Dorado finish second, will swim at Ohio State next year. “He grew up in Indiana; he’s a diamond in the rough,” Ashe said.
