Candidates for School Trustee to Be Interviewed
- Share via
The school board today will interview nine candidates to replace board member Barbara A. Vogel, who is resigning May 31.
Vogel and her family are moving to Atlanta, where her husband has accepted a job.
Rather than hold a special election, Fountain Valley School District’s trustees will appoint one of the nine candidates to fill the seat until the term expires in November 1998.
The candidates are Maureen Ahrens, Bruce Crawford, Judith Edwards, Mark Goldhamer, Susan Henry, Marilyn Jones, Tony McCombs, Ben Miles and Lynn Saracino.
The board plans to interview each candidate for 30 minutes. Trustees may delay the decision, however, until the following meeting, said Susan Grantham, executive assistant to the superintendent.
The interviews are open to the public. A regular session will follow.
Today’s meeting begins at 5 p.m. at district headquarters, 17210 Oak St. Information: (714) 843-3255.
