Southern California Racing Assn. non-winged sprint cars will make their only appearance of the season tonight at Ventura Raceway.

Qualifying begins at 6 p.m., with the first race set to start at 7. Gates open at 5.

Admission is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and military personnel, and $5 for students with identification. Children under 12 are free.

Other events today involving teams in the region include:

Minor league baseball: At 7:15 p.m., Lake Elsinore at Lancaster, 7:15 p.m.

College baseball: At noon, Cal Lutheran vs. Chapman at Moorpark College in fourth game of Division III best-of-five regional. A fifth game follows if Cal Lutheran wins.

High school baseball: At 10 a.m., Viewpoint at Thacher. At 2 p.m., Midland vs. Cornerstone Christian at Freedom Park.

High school swimming: At 3 p.m., Southern Section Division II and Division III finals at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach.

High school track and field: At noon, Southern Section Division I championships at Veterans Stadium in Long Beach.
