Man Arrested in Slaying of Construction Supervisor

A Westchester man has been arrested and charged in the death of a construction supervisor who was shot in the head last month after pulling up to a restaurant drive-through window in Inglewood.
Inglewood police said they arrested Ameer Rashad Fountano, 20, this week after linking evidence from two previous crimes with evidence from the murder at the restaurant.
Det. Mark Campbell said police believe Fountano was involved in an assault April 23 and a Los Angeles shooting April 29 that occurred just hours before Cheyenne Figueroa of Fontana was killed outside a Jack-in-the-Box.
Figueroa, 39, was the second Peterson/Chase General Engineering Construction employee to be slain at a South Bay Jack-in-the-Box in the last six months. His boss, Alan Peterson Sr., was fatally wounded during an apparent carjacking at a Carson restaurant.
