Beatrice Jones swam away with a gold and two silver medals at the Crown Valley Senior Olympics in Pasadena.
Jones, competing in the 55-to-60 age group, was awarded a gold in the 25-yard breast stroke competition and silver medals in the 25-yard freestyle and 25-yard backstroke events.
Jones, the owner of Garden Grove’s Senoj American African Flags, also took home a silver medal in table tennis and a bronze participation medal for the three-mile walk.
Senior Olympics are held throughout the year in 12 cities statewide and draw about 800,000 male and female participants 50 and older. Events include track and field, swimming, basketball, golf, tennis and bowling.
