Stephane Morin scored two shorthanded goals and had an assist as the Long Beach Ice Dogs were 4-1 winners over the Utah Grizzlies in International Hockey League conference semifinals Wednesday.

Ice Dogs goaltender Tom Draper stopped 31 of 32 shots.

The Ice Dogs have a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal series.

For the third consecutive game, Utah scored the first goal, with Chris Taylor getting his first of the playoffs when he wristed in the puck from the right circle over Draper’s left shoulder.

The Ice Dogs tied it with a power play goal 34 seconds into the second period when Jozef Cierny made a perfect centering pass to Mark Ferner, who knocked it in.
