Look for Some Big Guests as Sweeps Period Continues

Several series feature special guests who the networks hope will lure viewers during the important sweeps period.

Former “Carol Burnett Show” yuksters Tim Conway and Harvey Korman reunite for CBS’ “Diagnosis Murder,” at 8 tonight on Channel 2. They play a former comedy team, now mortal enemies, involved in a murder case.

Billy Crystal and Robin Williams are invading NBC to promote their new movie, “Fathers’ Day.” On “Friends,” at 8 tonight on Channel 4, the duo appears in the opening segment as Central Perk customers.

In the one-hour season finale of Fox’s “Living Single,” at 8 tonight on Channel 11, Synclaire (Kim Coles) and Overton (John Henton) exchange vows.

Host Bob Saget reunites with his “Full House” family for a special edition of ABC’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” airing Friday at 9:30 p.m. on Channel 7.

The farce is with Mark Hamill as he guests on NBC’s “3rd Rock From the Sun,” Sunday at 8 p.m. on Channel 4.

The season finale of ABC’s cop series “High Incident,” at 8 p.m. on Channel 7, was inspired by February’s North Hollywood shootout between police and bank robbers.

Friday

Danny Aiello, Joe Mantegna and Daryl Hannah are among the stars of “The Last Don,” CBS’ six-hour adaptation of Mario Puzo’s best-selling novel about a Mafia family, at 9 p.m. on Channel 2. The series continues Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Jules Verne’s classic “20,000 Leagues Under the Sea” is on ABC at 9 p.m. The four-hour journey stars Michael Caine as the infamous Capt. Nemo. The conclusion airs Monday at 9 p.m.
